Gay Pride / Jozi Run. Oh Me. Oh My.

Coffee this morning, and white suburban women moaned about the problems with the Gay Pride Parade.  The noise from the car guards directing cars that didn't need directing, the music, the beer bottles, the fact that it went on well into the night, unstructured, unsupervised, very unsuburbanish.

Nike We Run Jozi

Yesterday saw Jozi take to the streets for the Nike We Run Jozi. Over 20 000 eager runners joined the Nike Team as well as Poppy Ntshongwana from 5FM for a morning filled with sun, fun and 10km of road and eye opening scenery.

The race commenced from Katherine Street in Sandton, into the township of Alex and the ended, for the first time ever, on the M1 highway near Grayston.
