Purple haze all in my brain;
lately things just don't seem the same”
 – Famous words from the late and great Jimi Hendrix and definitely a trend worth discussing.

Purple was a big trend for winter and has evolved and stuck around for the upcoming summer months too. With so many different shades and hues, purple compliments almost all other colours. Try mixing bold colours and prints with brighter shades of purple for a summer fresh burst of colour blocking, or alternatively opt for pairing darker, more winter based and neutral colours with darker shades of purple for a classic and sophisticated outfit choice.

On the traditional colour wheel used by painters and many designers, purple is located between blue and red and hence, looks great paired with most colours and is, in some cases, referred to as a neutral and basic colour – Complimenting and forgiving, purple also looks great on most skin types.

According to various studies “Purple is the colour of good judgment. It is the colour of people seeking spiritual fulfilment. Purple is a good coluor to use in meditation and has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty – making it a perfect colour for smart or work wear. But is also a quirky and fun colour for a more casual and chic look for both men and women.

Trendy Tip: The colour purple is beautiful and suits both men and women alike. But still, judicious use of the colour is essential to get the desired result – Just like everything in life; it’s about moderation and finding the perfect balance.
