ContinueWe dabbled with livestream on our YD Facebook and it was so much of chaotic fun! If we had such a good time just testing it out, imagine doing it on a regular basis and that too via a camcorder. The story gets better, because with the OnAir Camcorder you can record and/or livestream your videos in real time to share with friends and family using…

Sleeping underwater amongst marine life is something many of us could only dream about. For some lucky travelers, this dream has now turned into a reality.
To celebrate their anniversary, the restaurant offered guests the chance to not only eat under the sea, but sleep under it as well. The 12-seat restaurant, which sits 16 feet below sea level of the Indian Ocean, was…

Shoelosophy notes: Yes it is winter, but one has to have foresight and plan their wardrobe for summer! The above photo is part of the Oscar De La Renta summer collection. Cerise pink seems to be a trend going forward. Do I Love ? It's a little busy for me, but as with…

The Grahamstown National Arts Festival is now a week old. But unlike the almighty, on this seventh day, no one's really resting. Swerving from exhaustion, but not stopping. Like that cheese grater infomercial on late-night TV, at fest there's always more.
And I finally got to see some art! ............... Well, mostly because it came to me.
Probably as penance for having forsaken its eye-catching splendours in favour of my currently more personal musical interests, one of…

Fire & Ice – Versace’s fall 2011 campaign delivers a sense of drama with model Saskia de Brauw posing in a desolate location of setting sun and barren landscape. Photographed by Mert & Marcus, Saskia sports the luxury label’s military accents and feminine frocks with a cool and androgynous beauty.

Last night I was fortunate enough to attend a Flux Trends presentation, by Dion Chang, at the I-Store headquarters in Sandton. The presentation was started off with a startling statement by Dion, "the millennial will change jobs 29 times in his/her career, working out to a new job every 18 months."
The presentation provided valuable insights for companies who are either dealing with the different mindsets their young employees have or are bracing themselves for the next generation…

Above you will see the most common words used in advertising boy’s toys. Scary stuff, no wonder world peace is never an option. I have friends that won't let their kids play with a gun, what nerds I thought. My view has now radically changed.…

Kris van Assche’s S/S 2012 collection stays true to his simple but edgy reputation with his deconstructive suits details, mixing knitwear with tailored suits. High-water pants continue to be hot for S/S 2012, with no sign of departing in the near future. His simple palette of greys and whites keeps a tight focus on all the fantastic details of each piece.…

In early prophesising, I declared superior knowledge of “how you know a boy loves you”. (Yes, sometimes giving you his last Rolo is simply not enough.) And so now you find he’s beginning to grow on you quite nicely too…
Of course, as a general rule of thumb, especially in the initial stages (“best foot forward, butt-sniffing stage, still wearing my sexy undies”), honesty is best.
Things are moving along rather swimmingly with your…

The 2011 Grahamstown National ArtsFest is now in it's 5th day. Almost the halfway point; and I still haven't attended a single Thinkfest lecture, dipped into the film festival, seen any stand-up, gone to a dance perforrmance, done any serious plays or been to any art exhibitions except the Arts Lounge where my sister and I performed today. So I'm a tad panicked. Which is why after this I'm going for cocktails. It happens every half way point festival Monday - the initial panic of "so much…

Last week I was invited to a magnificent POND'S Launch at the One & Only Hotel in Cape Town. We were taken through the history of Pond's and then shown the new Age Miracle Range. They had organised a facial demonstration at the One & Only Spa, where a therapist showed us how to apply and use this new anti-ageing range…
