A technique called “drawing with an eyelash” is used by artist Mel Kadel on her floral, dropped and striped patterns and strange characters of her images. She uses ancient papers, small pens, cotton swabs and glue. Kadel grew up in Pennsylvania suburbs and graduated from Moore College of Art and Design in 1997, she now resides and works in Los Angeles and has created visual narratives that communicate the idea that we are all a part of a system whether recognized or not.
I think her art is pure and innocently beautiful.
