World's Smallest Camera by Hammacher Schlemmer

I have a theory... the more people invent, the more technology becomes indispensable. The bigger it gets through thoughts and ideas, the smaller it gets in final product…well in some instances. Based on the Japanese ‘Chobi Cam One’ the 'world’s smallest camera' ha been created by distributors Hammacher Schlemmer. The Cam One offers functions of photo and video shooting in a package not much larger than an SD card, measuring at a whopping 1.125 inches wide by a whole inch tall and 1.06 inches wide, literally 2.86 x 2.54 x 2.7 cm. The tiny autofocus camera weighs half an ounce and takes 2 megapixel 1600x0200 photos, and a 640x480 AVI video at 30fps. The camera appears to be the American release of the ‘Chobi Cam One’ produced by Japanese manufacturers ‘Japan Trust Technologies (JTT), which is slightly smaller at 0.98x0.98x1.02 inches and 0.4oz (12g). It shoots at similar specs to the world’s smallest camera: JPEG photos at 1600x1200 and XVID (compressed AVI) video of up to three minutes unlike the Hammachler Schlemmer model. The ‘Chobi Cam One’ features three different magnetically attached lenses. Data for either of these devices is stored on a Micro SD / SDHC card and uploaded via USB. They both go for about 100USD.
