Topping the list for the seventh year running, Gisele's astonishing earnings make it very hard for any of her fellow models to catch up. Her stake in Brazilian footwear brand Grendene is said to be a big wealth factor as are her contracts with Pantene, Oral-B, Sky HDTV, H&M and Chanel beauty. The mother-of-two is married to American football player Tom Brady.

2. Miranda Kerr

$7.2 million

30-year-old Kerr is not only one of the world's most popular models but a budding entrepreneut too. Her line of Organic skincare, Kora, is now stocked on Net-A-Porter. She's also making waves in Asia where various contracts with products such as ice tea and washing powder make her big bucks. Though she ended her contract as a Victoria's Secret Angel earlier this year, she continues to model for the brand. She's also become something of a celebrity thanks to her high-profile marriage to British actor Orlando Bloom.

3. Adriana Lima

$6 million

Brazilian Lima, a mother of two, owes the majority of this year's earnings to her contract with Victoria's Secret. As their longest-serving Angel she holds the most lucrative modelling contract in the company.

4. Kate Moss

$5.6 million

Moss, the oldest model on the list, may have slipped from last year's number two position but she's still pulling in big deals. A recent collaboration with Carphone Warehouse on a line on phone accessories is expected to be lucrative, as are campaign deals with Versace, Stuart Weitzman and Rimmel

5. Liu Wen

$4.3 million

Crowned China's first supermodel, Liu Wen was also the first Chinese model to walk in the Victoria's Secret show. She has a long list of campaigns under her belt including H&M, Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss.

6. Hilary Rhoda

$4 million

Rhoda currently has deals with Nike, Hugo Boss and Estee Lauder and is a regular catwalk fixture for brand's such as Victoria's Secret.

7. Carolyn Murphy

$3.6 million

38-year-old Murphy has held a lucrative contract with Estee Lauder since 2000. Additionally, she's the host of Project Runway: All Stars and has recently landed contracts with Coach, Ann Taylor Loft and Carlo Pazolini.

8. Joan Smalls

$3.5 million

Newcomer Joan Smalls regularly appears in glossy editorials, ad campaigns and on catwalks for design houses such as Givenchy, Balenciaga and Chanel.

9. Candice Swanepoel

$3.3 million

South African Swanepoel owes the majority of her wealth to her contract as an Angel for Victoria's Secret, though campaigns and catwalk appearances for Versace, Max Factor and Juicy Couture also help.

10. Lara Stone

$3.2 million

The Dutch model holds a lucrative exclusive deal with Calvin Klein, though her earnings fell from $3.8 million last year owing to the birth of her son in May 2013.
