The sixth annual Glamour Women of The Year Awards saw women of worth being treated like Queens and so they should if they’ve been recognised as exceptional women in their industry by their peers. All 8 Winners came together for a day of celebration in Johannesburg at Village View Mall in Bedfordview for a session of wine and dine, all before the glitz and glamour to come the same night.

The winners, Toya Delazi, Felicity Spies, Anne Hirsch, Pretty Yende, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Nicola Jackman, Minnie Dlamini and Zanele Muholi dined with Editor-in-Chief of Glamour Magazine, Pnina Fenster, a few bloggers and Jill Grogor from Zebra Square PR at tashas whom put on a feast fit for the ladies of the hour. After being spoilt rotten with divine goodie-bags from Village View, the ladies were taken back to their hotel in Hyde Park where the night which was there’s for the taking was waiting.

Actress & charity angel Nicola Jackman, actress & reader’s choice Minnie Dlamini, fashion entrepreneur Felicity Spies, Glamour SA editor Pnina Fenster, pop artist Toya Delazy, photographer & rights campaigner Zanele Muholi and comedienne Anne Hirsch. Absent at the time were opera singer Pretty Yende and media personality Liezel vd Westhuizen.

The Glamour Women of The Year Awards is always a favourite on everyone’s social calendars as the opportunity to mix and mingle with like minded women is presented whilst dressing to the 9’s is required; it’s an evening of celebration and absolute fun. The winners looked gorgeous in their gowns (whilst Toya rocked a stylish jump-suit) donning diamonds sponsored by Sivana Diamonds.

The ladies all gave thank you speeches, with Minnie Dlamini, winner of The Readers’ Choice Award standing out from the rest, giving a speech close to that of winning an Oscar. All Winners were spoilt with Europa Art Shoe vouchers!

After enjoying glamours cocktails from Grey Goose and Revlon make-over’s, each lady walked away with special goodie bags and a smile on their face whilst I’m sure the winners continued celebrating late into the night.

It was a wonderful evening, thank you to all involved. We can’t wait till next year.
