You could say I’m having an Affair, several in fact…

My love Affair with fabulous Footwear began shortly after I fumbled over my first few steps…having perfected poise and benchmarking balance, I took to mincing in my mother’s skyscraper Stilettos around the house. My mother had a penchant for the highest of Heels, and still does, and I have never ever seen her in a pair of Ballet Pumps. “They” say history repeats itself, and “they” do have a point. The higher the Heel, the taller I teeter, the more I fall head over Heels (in love).

With a collection of countless Shoes, and still counting, my Passion has had a fair few years to develop, and even having started a Shoe Fund several years ago, no amount ever amounted to enough. I am sure my Mother breathed a sigh of relief, when the financial funding of my Footwear finally fell on my account, instead of hers. As the Oklahoma hit goes…”I can’t say no!” Long, lithe and Leather has my name all over it…send in the Swarovski’s and sparkles, and I’m hooked. The next logical step, of course, is to fling out the Financier of my Fetish for Footwear….rigid, rectangular, raised digits...ring a bell?

Don’t get me wrong, I get thrilled over Threads; but if “Clothes maketh Man;” Footwear undoubtedly maketh Woman.

You will never catch me in a Pair I wouldn’t have an Affair with…Footwear reveals so much about the Wearer, and the Shoes; successful or not, are the first detail I indulge in anyone I meet. When “they” said put your best foot forward, “they” were certainly onto something. Your Footwear shapes the Footprints of your Future, and takes you where you want to go in Life.  The next time you throw on a threadbare pair of Pumps to venture out and about, just remember you bare your sole with every step you take. #justsaying# You have to start somewhere, and I’m not saying that if it’s not Designer, it’s dire; but as Oprah says; “I still have my feet on the ground, I just wear better Shoes.” So here’s to better Shoes, bespoke Blahnik’s, luxurious Louboutin’s and charismatic Choo’s all round.

These Men certainly have unwrapped the unparalleled Utopia for Women, when it comes to Fancy Footwear; and speaking of Men; I like my Shoes the way I like my Men…Well-heeled, Haute and Handsome*
