As Cannes comes to an end, here is another short film by a luxury fashion brand. And, like Prada’s Roman Polanski-directed “A Therapy,” this film strikes a similar balance between artsy and funny.
Olivier Zahm created the short film for Louis Vuitton’s online magazine New, Now. It’s supposed to be the Purple editor’s diary from a day during Paris Fashion Week, when he attended Louis Vuitton’s spectacle of a fall 2012 runway show, as well as the Marc Jacobs Louis Vuitton exhibition.
In style, the film is also an homage to Jean-Luc Godard’s Contempt and stars Alice Aufrey as a modern day Brigitte Bardot–though it’s done in a tongue-in-cheek way that is difficult to take seriously. “Paris. The bad boy. The pretty girl. The arrival of a train..” We love it. Watch below.
