Its back! The 2nd Pop up picnic in the city will take place on 15 September 2013. We had such an amazing time last year on a roof top in Johannesburg CBD. On the 5th of May 2012, 150 friends gathered together not really knowing what to expect. We weren't disappointed. We ate and danced to a Jazz Band under a beautiful full moon. The event ended at 19h30 and were left with one of the most incredible experiences.  

For those that weren't there, Picnic en Blanc with a Touch of Red is a celebration of love, in an unexpected location that is sms’d on the day. Everybody dresses in white with a Touch of Red, with an option of bringing your own food, drink and décor. They supply the tables, chairs and white table cloths. This isn't for the light hearted followers; it's for the successful creative, decision makers, the trend setters, the stylish doers and the real fun seekers. It’s about the journey, finding an outfit, decorating your table and sitting down to eat delicious food with your fabulous friends.

In February 2012, 68 Encounters hosted the 1st pop up picnic in Cape Town, Picnic en Blanc with a Touch for Red, was held in the Company Gardens next to the Izidiko Museum, there were 130 attendees entertained by Larry Joe Live and Valve State and it was a huge success.
On the 3rd of March 2013, 68 encounters hosted its 2nd Cape Town event at the Green Point Urban Park, with over 150 people attending.

We all get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget to connect with our city, the people we love our friends and family and before we know it a year goes by and we haven’t seen each other!! Love is a reason to celebrate.
