A very important factor within our society is gender, identity and challenges of traditional stereotypes. With constant questioning of who we are, why we think we are that, who is doing the initial labelling and why? Hana Pesut is a self-taught photographer where she focuses on the “little moments” that people sometimes tend to miss and later wish that they had captured.

Through living in such a polarized society where separation and duality have been embedded in us since our day of birth, Pesut believes that we should put those ideas to rest and take a different approach through reviving the idea of unity.

Pesut has introduced imagery of capturing people in their own clothing and then switching the outfits with that of their partners. It is said that, at the end of the day, we are all living in a time when the veil of illusion is slowly fading, the disintegration of belief systems previously held is collapsing and a new way of thinking and living is on the horizon.
