My First - Gavin Rajah Show At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2012

Ok, so I know it’s late, as the actual fashion show took place last weekend, 10th March. But I have a theory, better late than never. This fashion show was held at the Hydepark Shopping Centre on the rooftop, hosted by Mercedes Benz, with over 20 designers. It was absolute heaven for me. Take a look!

One of the highlights to the evening upon many others was this gentleman. He was so intrigued by the fluorescent pink neofundi heart that I had to take a picture, and this my friends was the beginning of a journey of a lifetime...

The show began with the usual opening of plain black curtains, but what was hidden behind was absolutely amazing. Simple and yet so effective, the G for Gavin Rajah lit up the rooftop and the feel of great anticipation swept across the audience.

The first model of many to come appeared in a white frilled skirt with a sleeveless top that sparkled with golden embellishments around the neckline.

A dress that caught every ray of light as this model walked down the runway in her light golden sequined dress, accessorized by a golden belt.

As the third model left the runway after featuring Gavin Rajah’s pink pastel skirt and a pastel shaped design sleeveless top, blue squares and rectangles accentuated the combination of colour and brilliance.

A pair of slinkey sexy legs walked down the runway, joined by a closed collared top, golden embroidery ran down the front.

Within the collection of mainly white, a few black outfits emerged. Suited with a jacket, and accessorized with a black shiny scarf that was tasselled at the ends.

Another highlight of this evening was this embroidered black dress. Fish netting joined by beige tassels brought this dress a round of applause.

A see through dress, covered with a transparent jacket that was outlined with white fabric. The pink leotard had black floral embroidery. This whole outfit was a taste for life.

White jeans and a fur jacket, accessorized by a golden belt and glasses.

A black dress emerges with a velvet design topped with golden beads.

This black and beige layered dress was lavished with golden embellishments.

This one for my wedding would be the perfect choice, no…I’m not getting married, was just a thought. I couldn’t take my eyes off of this translucent, floral embroidered, embellished dress.

Green showed its face, Opened at the back and front by a V and a slit up the the bottom as it crops down from an accessorized golden belt.

This dress also received a round of applause from the judges, this open, long sleeved boob tube dress, perfectly finished with golden aspects.

Delicate to the eyes, this loose angelic dress came out to the perfect song.

I found this one quite intriguing, open at the front and the pearly beaded pockets separated by a silver belt.

This white pocketed dress had open sides, with an embellished split at the back.

An off grey dress, with floral beaded design at the centre of attention.

This light grey dress created a lot of astonishment...well with me of course.

Another one of Gavin's masterpieces, open at the back and beaded to perfection. I couldn't take my eyes off of it!

The end to it all was an amazing dress, perfect for any wedding. Layered with flair at the bottom, pastel floral’s hanging from an embroidered corset. This dress was accompanied by a silver belt and a tiny transparent jacket that was lined at every end. This last dress ended the night with a round of applause.

All of this was an amazing experience for me, especially considering that it was my first time. I thoroughly enjoyed it, walked out with absolute amazement. Well done Gavin. You have my heart!
