I have just returned from an epic 50 days of European Summer! Inspired by my travels and love of hotel design, I wanted to share the amazing hotels I stayed at and 2 that I wish I could’ve… I really love boutique hotels for their quircky design edge, intimacy and attention to detail, most of the featured hotels are smaller but don’t lack in the luxe department! I hope you enjoy and get busy planning your next trip!

Athens: The Margi Hotel

Captivated from the minute we arrived by a palette of organic textures, loungey poolside daybeds, soft linens and bougainvillea, this hotel had me falling in love hard! What adds so much to the charm of The Margi,is its rich history in the creation of the Athenian Riviera in the 1960s and its position in the upmarket and picturesque area of Vouliagmeni. I so loved that it’s a walking distance from Astir beach, where the water is crystal clear and beach chic fashionistas rock the beach like their runway! The magnificent Matsuhitsa restaurant at the Westin, part of the Nobu family, is the most breathtaking setting to dine on new style salmon sashimi, and of course THE Waffle House is absolutely epic and worth the carb calories.

Istanbul: The W Hotel

Glam, fun and always very cool, the W never disappoints! I really enjoyed the contemporary interpretation of Arabesque design and how it aligns with the W brand. W Istanbul felt so intimate and sexy, it really was something special! The location was perfect, a quick Uber to the ultra chic Nisantasi area, a definite must for great restaurants and shopping.

Mykonos: San Giorgio Hotel

I didn’t get the chance to stay here but definitely going to rock out here next time. I’m so into this relaxed rustic chic look against the beautiful backdrop that is Mykonos- this is easy unassuming luxury, it’s all in the simplicity and design essence. The location is just between Paraga and Paradise beaches, need I say more? #mykonos2016

Paris: La Maison Favart

If you want a boutique hotel, truly French experience, contemporary classic décor and brilliant service, this little hotel is it. Situated in the Opera district, it’s a 10 minute drive from just about anything! Adorable little Breakfast Room which turns into an Honesty Bar in the afternoons, very trendy lounge space, and individually themed rooms, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

London: The Ham Yard Hotel

Although I didn’t get to stay here, I already know that I’d love it… I’m all about layering pattern and I think this execution is magical, especially in the Drawing Room! Even just a cool place to visit with it’s own bowling alley and cinema, the Ham Yard Hotel looks like a serious design experience!
