I have never really been a ballerina fan, but the work of Jose Romussi a Chilean mixed media artist has most definitely turned me into a fan. He makes use of vintage black and white photographs of ballerinas and brings them to life through embroidering colourful thread over the costumes. A playful and new way of using mixed media he creates astounding patterns.
