If you've been following us on Twitter you would have known that last night we attended David Tlale's RTW Collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Jo'burg ... The show began in a very Dramatic way as is expected of David: He opened his own show by walking up the runway.
Stairs had been built at the base of the runway and models began lining up on the stairs and one-by-one they walked down the ramp.
The range was nothing short of Fabulous as David employs unpredictable use and understanding of fabric, colour and texture. The Show consisted of a combination of contrasting fabrications; from Chiffons and Furs to Leathers and Silks. Houndstooth and Geometric Shapes were a popular pattern on this runway. Colours used were warm, rich and earthy: browns, oranges, mustards, creams, reds.
The Show ended with the Models doing a few 'laps' around the runway in order to show off the range and interest potential buyers.
All-in-all the show went very smoothly with the showcasing of Gorgeous Garments and as expected full of theatrics, a few people were even spotted shedding tears after the show.

those suits on the men look really badly tailored. They hang badly and look like they were fitted on men bigger than the ones modeling them.
I have to say Jozi, they looked fantastic on the runway. the geometric look does that! :)

An amazing show. David is an extraordinary talent.
