I recently wrote a blog post on New Year’s Resolutionsand why they are so hard to keep, the responses were very positive. One of my readers (thanks Socratis Avgitidis)  recommended that I watch this TED talk by Matt Cutts, it’s only three minutes long and well worth watching- I found it very inspirational. Watch the clip below, as I said, only three minutes of your time:

In essence what Matt Cutts reveals is that if you challenge yourself and make small sustainable changes, in your life, you are more likely to make the habit stick. Setting yourself small attainable challenges will in turn help make you more focused and make better use of the time you have each day. He also felt that as he set more difficult challenges his self-confidence grew.

After I watched the video clip it really got me thinking and has motivated me to set myself a challenge each month and to share the challenge with you! It would be great if you also take the challenge and share your experiences with me and my readers, or set yourself a challenge and let me know how you do!

So my challenge for February is to take one photograph a day and share it with you. I love photography but I struggle to find the time to take pictures during the week, so I am hoping by taking this challenge I will be able to use my time more wisely and spend more time doing what I love!

You've started something Super Mom...so I'm also up for the challenge. I'm putting it out there that for the next 30 days I have to exercise 4 x a week, even if it's just walking:)

Love the quote at the beginning. The shoes should have been replaced with a pair of shoelosophy's stunning heels

Hmm, really have to scratch my head on that one. What can you do for someone else for 30 days?

Comment by Inspired Living SA on February 4, 2012 at 15:26

@Marius perhaps cook dinner for someone, shop for them? Possibilties are endless I guess you just have to find something that works for you!

@Marius how about trying to only have positive and supporting comments for all those you love.

That will be a great energetic influence. I've started my exercising, it's hard but I'm determined.
