I recently wrote a blog post on New Year’s Resolutionsand why they are so hard to keep, the responses were very positive. One of my readers (thanks Socratis Avgitidis)  recommended that I watch this TED talk by Matt Cutts, it’s only three minutes long and well worth watching- I found it very inspirational. Watch the clip below, as I said, only three minutes of your time:

In essence what Matt Cutts reveals is that if you challenge yourself and make small sustainable changes, in your life, you are more likely to make the habit stick. Setting yourself small attainable challenges will in turn help make you more focused and make better use of the time you have each day. He also felt that as he set more difficult challenges his self-confidence grew.

After I watched the video clip it really got me thinking and has motivated me to set myself a challenge each month and to share the challenge with you! It would be great if you also take the challenge and share your experiences with me and my readers, or set yourself a challenge and let me know how you do!

So my challenge for February is to take one photograph a day and share it with you. I love photography but I struggle to find the time to take pictures during the week, so I am hoping by taking this challenge I will be able to use my time more wisely and spend more time doing what I love!

Loved the video...inspirational. Done Super Mom...My challenge is to start my diary from today. Everyday I will document the highlights of my day. This will be kept private, I would hate to scare all away:)

This is one of my favourite TED talks. What a nice idea..but need to give it some thought.

@ Lauren I think it is important to put some thought into it and make sure its achievable, especially if its the 1st challenge! Something you enjoy but perhaps don't do enough of!

I have a business idea that needs to be documented(bus plan). I never have enough time for it. Starting from today, and for the next 30 days I will spend 1 hour a day on it. By the end of the 30 days it should be complete:)

@Socratis That sounds great! I can't wait to see what the business will be! Goodluck!

My goal for the next 30 days is to find half an hour in the day to reflect inwards and get in touch with my source, through meditation and breathing.
