As I have said before, I love Gifs. I find them fascinating. I have run a series on Cinemagraphs part 1 and part 2, which you may want to see first.

I came across Mikes Pecci's website by chance and had to highlight some of his work on neofundi.

Mike is often hailed as raw, peculiar, and dark, Mike's ability to utilize technology and images to translate the darkest moments of human experience is insurmountable. Crafting deep characters and consistently pushing the limits in every project, Mike Pecci is an artist whose commitment to detail and process have proved to be the reason for his success. His ability to touch audiences through his films is a credit to his commitment to understanding humanity. The work has an emotional quality that can both frighten and pull you in, playing off the darkest chasms of the human condition. Working with some of the most hidden places in a character, Mike has created timeless films that impel you to fall in love and cringe with fear.

After about two years in development, Pecci just released his very own set of gifs he calls Living Images. "They are more than gifs," he tells us, "they are high definition images that can fill your screen and high concept poses and actions the really make you stop and stare. We are using all sorts of cutting-edge technology, and working hard with the new HTML5 testing a new technique that hasn’t been done yet. Really cool stuff."
