Meet Miss Veet SA’s, top 10 finalists and hear from them first-hand (nothing has been edited) about their achievements, goals and well….how they see themselves.

1. Alyssa Cole

I'm originally from small town Pietermaritzburg in KZN and currently reside in the beautiful Cape Town, coastal babies always go back to their roots...

Cape Town stole my heart and opened doors into the Model industry being part of Boss Models running on my 3rd year as a full time model which I feel very blessed by.

I believe in setting short and long term goals one of those which is so important to me is an education, Im a graduate with a Bachelors in Communication science and Business management.

I chose this field because I love working with people from psychology, marketing , PR  it's been an exciting study which I throughly enjoyed. I am quite the book worm with a fun exciting side being the fashion/ entertainment industry and travel.

Being a Model was my way of doing the two things I love which is fashion and entertaining which allows me the opportunity to travel - modelling is more like a story and unlocking characters tapping into a fantasy.

I love challenges and  that "always wanting to know more" kind of person.

Being in the industry opens opportunities of meeting all sorts of people from people you've looked up to, hoping to be one day, to the individuals behind the scenes with so much to teach you and developing friendships with individuals from every corner of the world opens your eyes to the bigger world and forever inspiring a greater goal and achieving more.

I love my Job and it doesn't stop there. After my Gap period I plan on chasing my other aspirations I'll be working on my Post grad and working towards a 2nd qualification in another field I'm passionate about which entails the business of fashion.

Knowledge is Power.

2. Meghan Oberholzer

My full name is Meghan Deonn Oberholzer and I am 19 years old (birth date: 14 June 1995) I was born and raised in Durban, went to an all girls school Durban girls College and finished in 2013 after which I went to live in Cape Town and joined the Cape Town City ballet's graduate program as an apprentice In 2014. Ballet was a huge part of my life, I had been doing it since the age of 4. Sadly I injured myself badly in august last year which resulted in the termination of my apprenticeship and the end if my career after which I joined Fusion model management. This year I am starting with ACT Cape Town where I will be starting my higher certificate in acting for film. Performance is my passion and I will always strive to be on stage in the limelight! I am a fun loving, active girl, love traveling and experiencing new things, love my family and friends and the most important thing for me is that I eventually love what I end up doing for a living!

3. Kopano Mocwane

Born and raised in Rustenburg, North West province, Kopano is a small town girl with big city dreams. After matriculating, Kopano went on to win the coveted Miss Teen South Africa crown in December 2008. During her reign in 2009, she grew an interest in media production through her new found exposure to TV, Radio and new networks.

In 2010, Kopano was the international face of KNN and provided award winning presenting skills to their monthly World Kids News bulletins. In 2011, the KNN team won a Kids Jury Award in Canns for their work. In 2012 Kopano returned to Rustenburg to be a part of the province’s premier radio station North West FM. Kopano continued to grow her skills in production and worked as the producer, sport reporter and co-presenter of Flight 3 – 6, the weekday afternoon drive show on North West FM.

In 2013, Kopano returned to Johannesburg to complete her Bcom Financial Management Degree with Varsity College and UNISA. In December 2013, she began working as a campaign manager for word of mouth marketing and advertising agency HaveYouHeard. In the year in which she worked with them through 2014, she managed national word of mouth campaigns for companies such as Mr Price, Estee Lauder and Oros.

Kopano is set to start 2015 with more focus and drive than ever before. With aims to grow her brand as a Media Strategy Consultant and to accomplish her dreams of further working within the TV and radio production industry.

Kopano is youth and driven. She takes instruction very well and shows a great understanding of social and emotional intelligence. With charm, personality and a character which is easy to love and appreciate, Kopano’s energy and persona makes her an excellent pick for any brand and task.

4. Samantha Bianca Pascoe

My name is Samantha Pascoe, I’m 20 years old and Johannesburg, South Africa is where I am from. I’m outgoing, love people and love laughing (where do you think I get my abs from). I love fashion and my style icons include Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Victoria Beckham. I love reading and writing and I plan to write an autobiography of my own one day. My passion is animals and horse riding and I would like to become a veterinary nurse in the next three years. I have studied events management which I love because I’m able to work with people and there is a variety in the jobs that are given. I have worked as an au pair for the past two years and currently am still one this year. The exercise I love most is walking and running because it allows me to clear my mind and soothe my soul. I have always wanted to be a model and will always work my hardest to reach my goal. I’m able to speak bits of Afrikaans as well as Zulu and have been nicknamed Muhle (beautiful). I love to learn new things and believe that life should be simplistic and happy because it’s the only way you are going to make it through in the end. One of my favourite sayings are “I will run in the sun and walk in the rain.” I would love to be a brand ambassador for Veet South Africa because I feel that I will be the perfect fit and will do my best to promote the products and Veet as a company as a whole. I thank the Veet team for choosing me as a Top 10 contestant and I’m excited for all the challenges and tasks ahead.

5. Hughnique Cawood

I am a 23 year old woman from Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. I am a confident and driven individual with a vision for success.

I would like to make more woman  believe in themselves and their own unique beauty. A very special woman in my life, showed me that class and elegance, should be part of every woman's entourage, and I endeavour to do the same.

I have optained my bachelors degree (BTech) in Chiropractic and I am currently busy with my Masters degree (MTech). I have a great passion for health care and helping the elderly.       

I enjoy peaceful cycles along the promenade, horse riding and a good adrenaline rush.
          


It's an honour to be part of Miss Veet SA 2015! Veet has helped me feel radiant and summer ready throughout the year. I hope that more people get to experience the great effects of veet.

6. Odirile Sepeng

I was born and raised in the capital city of South Africa, Pretoria, where I completed my matric year in 2011. I am currently a full time student in Johannesburg, studying towards my Bcom Law degree. Having worked with an initiative that aims to grow and empower the youth, I am particularly passionate about the empowerment of young people and women. I feel equally strongly about visual art because it's more of a spiritual experience. It allows me to paint and draw that which moves as I see it and hope it connect with those who view it. I am a vibrant, light hearted and whimsical young lady full of life and an eye for unique special things. I love to work out and really enjoy the outdoors. I like to immerse myself with sport-related activities and spending quality time with my family and friends. 

7. Olorato Major

My achievements are as follows:

I've successfully completed Matric in 2014 at RHK Entheos Christian School with 8

distinctions. While in high school I received the Engineering and Graphics Design

trophy 3 years in a row, Honours in Culture, Sports, Academics and I was

part of the Student Board. I Received a Bursary from Boston College to get a

qualification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, once I've completed

that this year, I'm off to study what I'm passionate about which is Mining Engineering.

I've had the great opportunity to be crowned Miss Valley 2014 and Miss Million Dollar 2014,in that year I was blessed enough to be invited by Mr Massimo Civale to attend a Debutante Ball in Italy- Rome, Caserta, which included tv interviews and special appearances at several events. Thanks to the amazing agency I'm under, I got my first advertising gig for Nedbank as Eugene's niece. My latest and most greatest achievements has to be making it to the Top10 of Miss VeetSA 2015, it's a milestone I've been longing to reach. However my journey has just begun and I'm looking forward to working harder and achieving even more in this prestigious competition and in my lifetime. As they say "if yourdreams don't scare you they aren't big enough". I'm striving to leave a positive mark in

the World and inspire many others as I go forward and conquer life's challenges. I believe I'm very hard working and consistent in everything that I do. I'm persistent yet very patient, I’m very disciplined, and I'm always one to make people laugh and smile whenever I can. I'm creative and very diligent when busy with a task. I love leading as well as enjoy working in and with a team. Lastly I have all the love to give to those around me and those that I meet.

8. Melissa Magiera

Firstly I'm truly grateful and honoured to be part of the top 10 finalist and promise to do my best throughout this journey.

I'm Melissa Magiera, to explain my personality in less than 5 words it would be talkative,  friendly,  enthusiastic, outspoken and spontaneous. My interest are modelling, outdoor activities,  reading, dancing and interacting with different personalities of people. 

I am currently a 2nd year student, studying Project Management . My achievements are listed as follows

*  Top 20 Miss Veet SA

* Several awards for dancing. 

My short and long term goals are to complete my degree,  to work abroad, to be genuinely be happy with my life and as cliché has it sounds to win Miss Veet SA 2015!

9. Drey-Andra Otto

My name is Drey-Andra Otto and I'm 20 years old.
I'm a down to earth farm girl who can walk bare foot in the sand,  ride a horse or even drive a truck. But as soon as I put my high heels on I transform into a glamour girl because a girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.

I wanted to be on stage since I can remember and always loved being in front of the camera, even if it was just for a selfie. 
I've also been doing modelling since the age of six, as well as sport like gymnastics, dancing, netball and athletics. Other than sport I also took part in school debates, acting classes and concerts.

Ive participated in several performing arts competitions like Eisteddfod, South African Championships and World Championships held in Los Angeles, America.
During these competitions I won several titles and awards.
First i won triple thread award for highest score in three categories, acting dancing and modelling.
I've won overall model a few times and in Los Angeles at the World Championships I won Grand Champion model of the world.

In 2011 i was crowned Miss Teen Namibia and had the opportunity to go to Houston Texas in America to participate in the Miss Teen World competition where I reached the top 10.

As Miss Teen I was part of several charity fund raising events and had to organize and host some of these events.

I'm currently a student at the North West University of Potchestroom. Where I study BA Communication/Media while I'm doing a diploma in acting at the ADK academy.

My biggest dream is to pursue my modelling and acting career, while I'm studying to become a journalist, TV/radio presenter.

You only live once but if you do it right.....Once is enough.

Spending quality time with my Family and friends is worth every second.
To me love, respect and good morals is great characteristics of a Christian.

I'm an outdoor girl and adrenaline junkie,  the reason why I want to explore and travel world. I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list!
Anything adventures......in front of the camera or on stage is  definitely my thing!
To me negative situations is a challenge,  therefore I will always take what I've got, how ever little and do something with it.

10. Hape Moloi

Hape Moloi- A 22 year old former Miss Soweto and Miss SA 2014 semi-finalist born and bread in Soweto. I am currently doing my 2nd year in Strategic Corporate Communications majoring in Public Management and Governance. I believe that my purpose is to serve other people and this degree will enable me to engage with citizens in ensuring that their basic needs are met by the public office. I hope to be a Public Protector one day so that I am able to ensure ethical and fair conduct by public servants. And maybe I'll even go further and become the president of the republic.

I one day also hope to run a NGO that will benefit woman and children and some of the work I've already done with different organizations are giving me a big step in achieving my goal. I have worked with:Business women association of SA on Sanitary Sisters Campaign

I also dream of opening and successfully running my own Communications and Events Management company. I dream of also participating in the One Young World Summit which is a forum for young people from all over the world come to meet and discuss various social challenges and ways of finding solutions to them.

I have a sweet tooth,love travelling and exploring,cooking and baking. Shoes,handbags and watches are what makes me happy. Uplifting and empowering other young woman is the reason I wake up and dream bigger than before.
