Habits Kluk CGDT
With a sizzling line up of South African greats showcasing their undeniable talent at this years inaugural Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town (MBFWCT) it’s sure to set all budding fashionistas in full bloom.
Brought to you by African Fashion International (AFI) and hosted by The City of Cape Town, this years 18 shows over 4 days will see both established and new designers such as Gavin Rajah, Stefania Morland, Kluk CGDT, Habits, Lalesso, Craig Port, Dax Martin, Tart, Michelle Ludek, Ruff Tung and a few more participating.
Leigh Schubert whom has designed the opening ceremony’s kit for the South African team represented at the 2012 London Olympics will also be part of MBFWCT and these other renowned Johannesburg based designers, namely, Thula Sindi, Spero Villioti and David Tlale will showcase at a surprise venue, always enthralling the crowd.
We see the return of familiar fashion achievers such as Hip-hop, Jenny Button’s Philosophy and Rosenworth as well as the appearance of new designers to the AFI platform including Adriaan Kutters and Ruald Rheeder.
This year’s theme is “Icons” which will present a definitive & creative South African design aesthetic from both “timeless elegance to sporty minimalism” and “stylish simplicity to audacious glamour.” Sounding like a mouthful of daring words bound together, the end product is set to impress.
