The iconic Christian Louboutin has taken the famously known glass slipper from our beloved fairytale and made it come true! To honour Disney’s Cinderella Diamond edition, these limited red-soled heels, embellished with lace, sparkling butterflies and Swarovski crystals were unveiled in Paris on the 4th July. The designer was invited by Disney to mark the release of Cindarella Blu-ray Diamond Edition this fall.

Louboutin states that “I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world.” 

This isn't the first time that somebody has taken the fairytale and made it come alive, Maison Martin Margiela created his own interpretation of the glass slippers a few years back for a limited edition range. Meanwhile, throughout the month of November, the prestigious Harrods will unveil its Christmas windows, showcasing classic Disney Princess dresses fashioned by top designers inclusive of Valentino, Elie Saab, Versace as well as Oscar de la Renta. I can’t wait!
