I've always loved the look of black and white photography, lending a hand to great memories which are portrayed in a romantic and undoubtedly intimate way.  It’s one of the most effective ways to lend character to your home and now the “Black & White” decor trend, believed to be inspired by the grand, “lady of fashion,” Miss Coco Chanel has hit the ground running.

You've probably seen dramatic prints on the runway but my favourite place to use these colours are at home, on the floor, in accessories, kitchen utensils, crockery and drapery.  These prints can be extremely bold so make sure you don't overdo it. Take your cue from Chanel and keep it classic and monochromatic.  This trend is timeless, well traveled and elegant and has no gray matter.
