'and the ship sails on'

I had the opportunity of meeting Eugene Hon, one of the most charismatic artists I have ever met. His views on life and art are true to the core of creative craftsmanship.

Eugene  is currently exhibiting his work at Elegance Jewellers, Melrose Arch. This must see exhibition will be running until the end of April.  Eugene is one of the most celebrated South African ceramic artists and Elegance one of the most prestigious Jewellery stores in SA. It made total sense for the two to collaborate. Elegance wanted to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon, with a jewellery line that celebrates the theme and the prestige of the brand. Who better to go to than the master, Eugene Hon.

The exhibition highlights the jewellery collection plus the amazing 'and the ship sails on'  ceramic installation with projected animation, which will invoke so many emotions. 

The jewellery line was created in various stages, from sketches to completed jewellery pieces. (see photos).
