Melpo is one of our favourite poets. She has lifted our spirits with her inner reflections. We decided to design the 'I AM' bracelet in 18 carat gold with her in mind. A collaboration of craft and soul. These will be on sale in our Melrose Arch store. Good luck to the winner of our Give Away.

Melpo’s blog - Five Graces by melpo

I am a big believer that if I work on myself to become better, I then have the power to change the way I see things and stop trying to change everyone else. The discomfort I am feeling is My discomfort, and only when my judgment morphs into compassion will my view start shifting.

I believe that all of us have been given 5 graces (gifts):
The gift of Thought, The gift of Free Will, The gift of Action, The gift of Love and The gift of the Spoken Word.

There are so many equations out there I figured I can also have one, here goes...
“FREE WILL allows me to choose a THOUGHT, I COMMAND my ACTION and LOVE my creation.”
These 5 gifts are all very important, but the one we have to be the most gentle with is the 'Spoken Word', because it seems to me that no one says what they mean and merely expressing an opinion makes us automatically “intelligent”. We have perfected our unconscious sentences, that have allowed us to be accepted by our group of choice and silence has become an uncomfortable stranger.
All I am saying is that every time you utter “ I AM” let it be followed by words like Beautiful, Open or Generous. And allow these words to carry a bigger meaning for you in your life.
'I AM BEAUTIFUL' means that you have been created so perfectly that one can only say WOW!
'I AM OPEN' means you are ready for whatever is coming into your life, because you have a deeper understanding that whatever it is it must be dealt with so you can get to your next level.
'I AM GENEROUS' actually means I AM full of kindness, allow me to give you my open heart.
And if all this is just too much for you, all I ask, is next time you say I AM, don’t be afraid to say something powerful!!

I AM obviously going to have to up my game to get this exclusive charm

There are far too many people posting to get this on their arm…

I AM a girl of Africa, I AM proud and I AM strong

I AM bold in my singing of my brave life’s little song

I AM a fearless painter, I paint just what I see

I AM a small, fast runner, I run because I AM free

I AM not wasting a moment, I breathe each breath in full

I AM a treasure hunter, and I’ll forever be searching still

I AM a thousand kinds of happiness, I love and I adore

I AM fierce in what I believe, I know what’s worth fighting for

I AM aware that at this very moment, I have the right to make my choice

I know this choice will change my story, that it’s up to my own voice

I AM a daring traveller, I walk till I run out of road

I AM a friend, a lover, a sister, oh let me share in your load

I AM the maker of the music, I tell you now it is well with my soul

I AM the mender of broken hearts, so let me please mend that hole

I AM a child of God, I AM a small song in the night

I have lost, I have hurt, I AM broken and bruised; but I know of His heavenly light

I AM playing with fire, I let danger knock on my door

But oh my darling is that not living? Isn’t that what living is for?

I AM a winged beauty, I fly with my arms open wide

I AM a powerful woman, I have honour, dignity, pride

I AM at peace in my own heart, I AM a dancer in the rain

I AM a dreamer I know this, I AM not afraid of this pain

I AM a believer in love, a hopeless romantic I’m told

I AM still merely a child at heart, I sense my spirit will never grow old

I AM happy wherever I AM, because I AM there

I AM a writer of love-letters, I sprinkle hope in the air

I AM the girl with a sparkle in her eyes, I AM willing to try

I AM always forever curious, I will always be asking why

I AM a teacher and learner, I fear I will run out of time

There is so much to do in this short little life, I AM taking every moment as mine

I AM a planter of gardens, I AM a builder of homes

I AM a memory-keeper, I cherish all those I have known

I AM a story-teller, a dancer; I AM a searcher of love

I AM a freedom-fighter, I toss faith to the heavens above

I AM a magic-worker, I change the can’ts into cans

I AM a wild one darling, I know who it is that I AM

So that is my attempt for this competition , this bracelet is worth fighting for

Please Neofundi read my little poem, don’t leave it up to a lucky draw!
