HOPE IS MY HERO was envisioned and started by JP Erasmus (drummer for "Autumn of August" and "Bright Blue City"). It is an alternative bilingual clothing brand that is grounded deep in the heart of the South African music scene. The designs are made with muso's and music lovers in mind and also strive to do so from a positive and inspiring perspective.

In JP's own words: "I wanted to create clothes that felt awesome to wear, but that I could also take home for my mam to wash without worrying what she would say about what was printed on it! A while ago I also found the grace message in the loving arms of Jesus, my Savior. This, combined with my music and the love for cool clothing I have, naturally led to the birth of HOPE IS MY HERO."
