GUEST: Circa 11 guests - artist, finance, jewellery & interior designers, IT, shipping, Fruit exporter, etc..
MENU: Sparkling Wine on arrival – served in the reception area, accompanied by luxurious bar snacks. YUMMY!! We waited for ALL the guests to arrive before we moved to the Private Dining Room for our 2 course meal.
Starters
Roasted red onion soup served with parmesan brochette and a drizzle of truffle oil
Twice baked cheese soufflé served with a parmesan infused rocket salad dressing
Retreat style waldorf salad served with bacon bits
Herbed cream cheese stuffed squid served with a fennel salad
Mains
Beef fillet with rocket sauce, cumin infused beetroot and pommes dauphine
Indian butter chicken served on a bed of basmati rice topped with fresh coriander
SalmonTrout fillet served with roasted fennel bulbs, pomme anna and fennel sauce
Exotic mushroom risotto served with charred mushrooms and parmesan shavings
Petit fours with tea/coffee
Most of the guests stayed till late, and then at about 23h30 a few decided to go for cocktails at the infamous Asoka, Kloof str. By 1h30 that was me, ready for bed as I had a presentation at 9h00 with Manuela Candido Designs.. What a night!! Loved it.
