Makia Lifestyle is a new proudly South African company that sells an authentic range of contemporary jewellery and accessories. Makia provides a platform for South Africa’s young and talented contemporary jewellery designers, focusing on unique designs using a broad range of materials across a broad range of prices.

 

Makia presents Silver Fig Jewellery: Silver Fig Jewellery designers, Heather and Neil Miller have recently returned from seven years abroad and have set up shop in Johannesburg creating hand crafted original silver jewellery. Silver Fig Jewellery was created in 2010 to create beautiful silver jewellery and the company’s namesake refers to the Wild Fig tree under which Heather and Neil got married in 2008.
Between them, the team have developed their style and skill from working for leading jewellery brands in fashion capitals of the world including New York and London. They have worked for De Beer LV, Bulgari, Asprey and in Hatton Garden, London.
Each design draws from the couple’s different and original styles, which encompass a free spirited quirky attitude and have a strong liking to nature.

Makia will be launching it’s online boutique through a young designers exhibition hosted by Moyo Zoo Lake on October the 13th and the exhibition will be open to the public from 12pm – 5pm. Makia Lifestyle was born out of a creative desire to bring classic-contemporary jewellery, accessories and clothing to the mainstream buyer and be the space where couture fashion meets couture jewellery.
