Yves Saint Laurent Opium gets more wearable with each incarnation.

The latest of which, Black Opium Nuit Blanche, is inspired by Nuit Blanche, an annual arts festival held in Paris. The festival is known for lasting all night, and it’s this energy of the City of Lights that has been captured in this scent.

It’s by far my favourite fragrance from the Opium stable with an unusual top note of rice and Bourbon pepper that gives way to a rich heart of orange blossom and coffee before ending on heady notes of sandalwood, vanilla and white musk.

The deep scents make it a perfect cooler weather fragrance that can go from day to night seamlessly. The bottle is just as mesmerizing; a black, glittered version of the classic Opium bottle, as perfect as a little black clutch bag.
