I'm lucky enough to be one of those girls who has done tons of travelling around the globe and this is where my absolute love for fashion ignited, and it all started when I fell in love with European retailers, Zara was one of these retailers. Not only are they one of the best places for high street fashion, they are incredibly affordable too. It feels awesome getting your hands on an item you saw recently on the runway. But for me, Zara are a brand that I am in awe of. Their business inspires and excites me as they have shown all retailers around the world what it really means to satisfy your customer. Zara get product into store in just 3 weeks from conceptualization. The Joburg store will receive new stock twice a week, which means us shopping addicts can get our fix far more frequently, the only advice I can give you all is PACE YOURSELF! 

I was very lucky to get invited to the Zara launch at Sandton City...

I had my outfit planned for the launch, but due to work in Pretoria for the day things didn't work according to plan, and I ended up having to change for the event after a long hot day in Pretoria in front of my boss & colleagues on the side of the Gautrain stop. I stuffed my heels into my hand bag (which made it bulge ridiculously) :) & boarded the train. Once at the Sandton stop I ran from the station to the mall where I finally found Zara (with the help of a super cool guy I met along the way- see his really cool blog here- Joburg people are incredibly friendly!! :)

Inside I grabbed a drink & pushed my way into the front to hear all about this brand I love. We were then showed around the store, and the tills were open for sales at 7.30... Although I was hot and under dressed (heels still in hand bag as there was NO time to put them on), the launch was great to be at and I really enjoyed myself! :)

Zara launched with loads of metallic's, cream and pastas, crochet knitwear, statement blazers, exposed zips, basic T's and tons of brights! See all below:

For those of you who know and love Zara as I do, I hope you not too upset they have now arrived in SA & you can't come back from your overseas trips with the best items from Zara making your friends green with envy. For those of you who have never been into or know Zara, I hope your experience is a fantastic journey like mine once was :)
