This is the view from my run on Sunday :)
It’s that time of the year again, the time when you actually dust off your running shoes and decide to run a km – if that, and then despair in how revoltingly unfit you are. Along with this, it’s also that time of the year where you start bearing a bit of skin, and by this I mean a teensy tiny bit, as you are normally given a bit of a fright.
In my case I gave this whole running thing a go this past weekend. I have been sticking to yoga through winter and this is always quite a safe option – as long as my feet are pedicured, then I’m happy.

As you all know, my ultimate worst is dry skin, so post-run I took to getting rid of every bit of dry skin that might have existed before. One of the best feelings ever! I used a new salt scrub from Tranquil Body Treats, and I had high expectations, given that according to me, these are the scrub criteria:
  • Plenty of abrasiveness (like loads of this)! I want to feel a proper scrub!!!
  • I do not want to feel like an oil slick afterwards
  • My skin must feel like silk post scrubbing, and have that summery radiant look
  • Any self-tan/body cream I apply afterwards must sit perfectly
I have tried plenty of body scrubs, and I can’t even tell you how many miss the boat. It’s one of those things that when you find the right one, you can’t get enough of it, and if it’s not the right one – well then you kind of get over the whole scrubbing idea all together! This scrub smells beautiful and most importantly made my skin feel incredible!! I used it on dry skin, before I turned the shower on (the best thing to do) and I felt amazing – plus my first self-tan application was perfect, thanks to this amazing product – that only costs R90, might I add!
