In stark contrast to New York City’s ever dismal subway transportation, Stockholm is home to what some have called the “world’s longest art exhibition,” i.e. brightly painted subway art. Most of the Swedish capital’s metro stations feature this amazing underground artwork. Captured here by visiting Russian tourist Alexander Dragunov, the city has continued the tradition of underground art since the first piece was introduced in 1957. Today, around 90 stations of 100 feature works from over 150 artists for one amazing public art initiative!
