Shoe Art - Keith Haring x Nicholas Kirkwood

Nicholas Kirkwood, one of the brightest shoe designers to merge in past few years, collaborated with the Keith Haring Foundation to create these museum worthy pieces!  This project takes Kirkwood back to the 80's in his one-off couture line of Keith Haring-inspired art shoes. "The bold colors, defined shapes and edges––that aspect of it, to me, made it perfect for a shoe," says Kirkwood of the type of inspiration he is drawing from Haring's style.

Shoelosophy notes: Shoe art collaborations are just up my alley. I love the roller skate boots, which are made using hundreds of Swarovski crystals. The pink rollers are perfect for a Sunday tea party :)

I love Haring's bold lines and active figures which carry poignant messages of vitality and unity. His legacy made an impact on late 20th century art and grants us all a vision for the future.

It's amazing what people can do when they allow themselves to be creative.
