The Leopard in Parkhurst is a new place that I recently discovered. I am not sure as to how long it has been there but I cant think for very long.

The service is easy and friendly (with more beautiful waitresses) they currently have no liquor licence and cannot sell you wine by the bottle but the white by the glass was super.

There is an ease about the place and as more and more friends arrived to hang out. The more annoying my presence must have been as we kept switching tables, there was no stress from the staff they helped us move.  So far with decor, drinks, service and location we were looking at a magic 5 stars (which they have beneath their logo) The food arrived and I had a Steak Tartare and my friend had Eggs Florentine. I was very disappointed in my meal, the meat was prechopped, stored and stringy. The food is apparently all very organic, free range etc and if so this meat needed to be treated with more respect. There were no capers and no egg yolk. It was a let down. My friends Hollandaise soup with an egg and some spinach was not much better. I joke when I call it a soup, but really it was just that. It was drowning in a bowl of hollandaise, I like it as much as the next person but still too much.

Then.. there was a chocolate brownie with ganash on top and a side of ice cream! my. good. god. what a dish. Magnificent, rich not too sweet and all round wonderful.

I would most definitely go back and I suggest you do too. I would go and try all the other dishes I have no doubt that this place is going to be a success.

On another note, the music was fantastic!
