The Drill Hall was beautiful.
Rambling Bones, The Fridge and The Brother Moves On entertained before the DJ's brought the dawn. Its a testament to Rambling Bones' happy folk stylings that those confused kids who apparently didnt know what gig it was that they were attending, were soon bouncing around and singing along. Jay defeats my melancholic musical tastes every time I hear him and his Bloody Agents doing their thing, awesome.

It was the first time I had seen The Fridge and I have to say I am incredibly impressed. Bass, Drums and Vocals. Thats it. The lead Singer Sam manages to bring something very special to stage, I dont even know what to call his style, I am pretty sure its a derivative of Doo-Wop. At any rate it was fantastic to see.

The Brother Moves On get better every time I see them play, it probably helps that I know the lyrics to a lot of the songs now, but I really feel a sense of musical journeying when I hear the lead guitar of Raytheon. His guitar takes me into the cosmos and I love it. The band were in their full compliment of members for this gig and it shows, the sound is fuller and warmer.

A win for The Brother in The Fridge
