There are many Hair Salons in Johannesburg's Northern Suburbs, in fact there are many in Parkhurst. There are none like Boydon Barnardo's Freedom Hair.

Walk down a little driveway in the quiet side of the suburb and you'll step into Boydens Salon, beautifully assembled with an antique barbers chair and other vintage items that he and his family have collected over the years. Boyden does everything himself, from washing your hair, cutting, colouring and then finally cleaning the salon. What I liked best about going for the cut at Freedom Hair was the opportunity to sit down with the Hairdresser and know that I have enough time to discuss what I want without the rush of an ordinary salon. There is no stress on account of another appointment in 30 minutes. Clients come at no rush intervals, they waltz in and get a beautiful treatment from the word go.

Freedom Hair will do most styles for you but are known for cuts that are slightly out of the ordinary. Something that might get you more than a passing glance in the street.
