The Brickfields Festival @ Carfax

This was nothing short of brilliant. I am a confessed live music junkie and I have little or no patience for dj’s (dont argue, its not live music). That said I was beautifully and wonderously transported by Felix Laband and Digital Rockit at Brickfields.

I was not on drugs, but they made me feel like I was. It might have been the people, the atmosphere the freezing cold temperatures outside, the strange ass jungle beats inside.

The Festival organisers are berserkers, who puts Rambling Bones and Gents of Leisure at a DJ dominated event?  Well whoever decided that needs a medal, it was crazy genius. I want more of this I want more events where there are sick DJ’s and folk rock messing with my brain. Its difficult to watch Anthea on stage, very difficult, I felt like a complete pervert watching an exquisite woman make such awesome music, there was no pomp, no ceremony, no expression on her face (love this, reminds me of Ian Curtis). Just the music and her charisma.

All in all a winner for Brickfields.
