Red Carpet Manicure Creates 24K Gold Nail Polish For The Grammy's

As we eagerly anticipate the outrageous, scandalous and barely-there fashions that will walk down the 2012 Grammy red carpet on Sunday (Feb. 12), nail polish brand Red Carpet Manicure has revealed a line of luxurious nail lacquer made with real 24 karat gold they created especially for the big night.

The gilded polishes will be available in the Grammy gifting lounge as part of the valuable celebrity gift bags handed out to the show's attendees. We can totally see Grammy nominees like the fashionably fearless Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry rocking the polish on their always eye-catching acrylics. So basically, even if they miss out on a golden gramophone, they'll still be taking home a little piece of gold!

Each shade of polish in the line was named to evoke the glamor and excitement of the awards ceremony. Stars can try on "I Can't Believe It," "My Thank You Speech," "Award Winning," or "It's a Champagne Night" variations.

The brand tells Stylelist that the development and production process took approximately three months to get right as the metal is very difficult to come by. Over an ounce of 24K gold dust was used to create the limited-edition polish which will retail for $5,000 a bottle.

What do you think?
