Norwood Renaissance - The Factory on Grant

I've lived in the Norwood area since last century and I'm beyond excited to see a revival happening right on my doorstep- in days gone by, we used to stroll over to Grant Avenue and have a wonderful selection of restaurants and shops, but sadly, over the years there's been a predominance of eastern massage parlours and odious little supermarkets, so the next best thing would be to get in the car and drive over to Norwood Mall, which is not quite the same thing.

However, there's a new vibe on Grant, thanks to a forward thinking investor, Craig McLeary. The new space is called The Factory, comprising of a sublime Vovo Telo (it's really beautiful) as well as an arcade of artisanal shops including a glassblowing studio, a magnificent art gallery and a silkscreen printing store. There are two clothing boutiques and a gorgeous flower shop upstairs.

There's going to be a deck upstairs and there's nothing whatsoever that resembles a mall...the whole space is creative, pretty and breakfast on Saturday morning will be the highlight of my week...
