Must Do Brides: Wedding Workshop – 17 May 2015

If you’re getting married soon and don’t want to be the bride who experiences FOLO (Fear of Losing Out)…

By Word of Mouth will be hosting an interactive wedding workshop at the Polo Room at the Inanda Club in Sandton.  The workshop will give brides- to-be great inspiration and invaluable information for their big day.

There will be a food and cake tasting, a showcasing of the latest trends in wedding fashion, a display of gorgeous flowers and a variety of wedding decor, as well as advice on the traditions and etiquette associated with weddings (should mommy not have enlightened you on this).

The workshop will start at 9:30am, with refreshments at 9:00 and a full programme that includes food tastings and fashion shows.

What to expect?

During the first session, Karen Short, founder and chairlady of By Word of Mouth, will share the latest wedding trends that she picked up at her recent trip to Las Vegas – the heart of great eventing.  These trends will be brought to life in the room, with actual table settings, floral arrangements and wedding dresses on display.  Marius, from Weddings by Marius, will discuss how to deal with traditions and etiquette – ranging from seating plans to guest lists and general advice on the do’s and don’ts of wedding planning.

The programme of the day is as follows:

A ladies fashion show, showcasing wedding dresses from some of Jozi’s top fashion designers will signal the end of the first session, making the experience so much sweeter as you bring it back home.  During the tea break, a selection of different wedding cakes prepared by Belle’s Patisserie and By Word of Mouth, as well as some canapés will be served.  The table settings, floral arrangements and wedding dresses referred to during the presentation will be on display for viewing.  There will also be an opportunity to look at the display of vintage wedding cars, order a tailor made bikini for your honeymoon, speak to a photographer or DJ, discuss the perfect honeymoon and order your stationery.

The second session will be opened with a fashion show dedicated to men’s fashion as most of us ladies know our men need help in this department.  This will be followed by the bridal grooming presentation, which will include make-up and hair demonstrations, trends and tips for 2015.

Karen will finish off the day by discussing the latest food trends, and how to put together the perfect menu for your special day.  Guests can enjoy the delicious food that Karen and her team from By Word of Mouth have prepared at the food tasting at 14:30.

An entry fee of R550-00 per person will ensure that you don’t miss out and tickets can be booked with Zelda on Zelda.Nhapi@bywordofmouth.co.za.  Book early – as tickets are limited.
