We get up close and personal with the stylish serial blogger Marina Brokorenko.

Tell us about your blog:
My blog is called Q-riouser & Q-riouser. It’s a place where I write about things that interest me...things that I’m ‘Q-rious’ about - from Beauty, Culture, Fashion and Food to Lifestyle and Travel. I like to know and experience things and pass on the info to my readers ...

Your top 3 blogger sites:
1. Stylesite Blog (stylesight)
2. Trendland (trendland)
3. The Beauty Department (The beauty department)

Tell us about your job as a Fashion Coordinator:

Basically I do Productions and Sales for the manufacturing of clothing in major Retail Stores and Brands in South Africa.

Which design house most expresses you?

Alexander McQueen-I love the Quirkiness (Sarah Burton is doing a great job as Creative Director)

Tell us about your “I have a to-see list of places to visit before the end of 2015”

It’s like a bucket list, but I have no intention of ‘expiring it ’ afterwards :) By 2015 I would like to have seen New York, Los Angeles, California, Texas, and Florida.

Where is your next travel destination?

I’m going to Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava in April!

How would you describe Belarus to encourage people to visit?

It’s an extremely beautiful country and if you are going I’d recommend going to Minsk (the capital of Belarus) and in Summer-time (as the winters are extremely cold). The Food is Amazing and I do recommend that you eat lots of Potatoes because they are absolutely delicious and plenty of Pilmeni (a type of dumpling with a meat filling). You should also most definitely see the Minsk Public Library and the Forests are really Amazing and a great place for picnics:)

What is a must have item for 2012?
I have a few things:
1. Orange Nail Polish or Lipstick - It’s a quick and cheap way to implement Pantone’s colour of 2012    “Tangerine Tango”
2. Scarves – The best and easiest way to pull an outfit together (especially if you’re in a jeans-and-tee mood)
3. A cute pair of Brogues

Your favourite colour:

It changes...At the moment I’m really enjoying the pastel colours so I’ll pick Dusty Rose as my favourite for now.

Do you think girls can still look sexy with flat shoes?

I think a girl can look sexy in absolutely anything, be it in flat shoes or jeans and a tee as long as she has Confidence:) … but I personally do enjoy wearing heels.

Diamonds or bags?

Well, I have more Bags than I have Diamonds (let’s face it, diamonds are a lot more expensive) … So Bags Win.

Best in Jo’burg for:

Shopping: It’s a tie between French Connection at Stuttafords, Forever New and Zara … So Sandton (as it has all 3 shops).
Sunsets: Randlords
Chilling with friends: Neighbourgoods Market
Sundays: Either Nice on Fourth for Breakfast or tashas in Melrose Arch for Lunch.

Do you love spontaneity or do you want to know what’s coming?

I’m the type of person who reads the last page/chapter in the book after I read the first chapter to know how the story will end – so I do like to know what’s coming but I also do enjoy being spontaneous.

What is one character trait that you have, that you would like to teach your loved ones?

Optimism … I’m generally a very happy and positive person and try to find a positive spin to everything.

If you were stuck at an airport for 12 hours with which famous person would you like to spend time with?

If time travel was possible it would most definitely be Audrey Hepburn … she is such a style icon and I would love to just sit and chat with her over a coffee… maybe we could even have “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (I’d need to make sure the Airport has a Tiffany’s Jewellery Store).
