#MakeItMonochrome: Europa Art's Sizzling SS16 Campaign

It’s a new season, and with a change in season, comes an evolution of ideas and a reinvention of imaging. “Summer time is always the best of what might be,” and what better time to introduce you to our updated Europa Art logo; which is both stylish and fresh. Since the opening of our very first Europa Art Shoes store, over forty years ago, we have reworked our branding to reflect our ethos of staying on trend in all that we do.

This Spring/Summer, you can master the #artofbeingstylish with #makeitmonochrome from Europa Art. A chic campaign, featuring the beautiful Miss South Africa, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, to launch a collection that is stylish and fashionable in fit, form, texture and tone.

In the pantone palette for SS16, we see monochrome mixed with metallic’s along with more colourful designs making a splash. Our prints include plaid, tropical and gingham, in an assortment of blush, nudes and hues of brown.

With an assortment of options, our Women’s SS16 collection is set to turn heads. Find the biggest trend this season in stores, which is the shoe-tie, and wraparound ribbons adorning the ankle. Featuring loads of leather, suede and ribbon, accentuated with embellishments including pom-poms and tassels, the ankle detailing is simple and stylish, and sure to make a statement.

Sneakers have us swooning, with lovely lace-ups that are casual and chic, but can be dressed up too, alongside feminine flats. Keeping with comfort, but never comprising style, the flatform provides fashion- forward footwear and is a firm favourite for SS16.

Slides are also a must-have this season, whether they are monochromatic, colourful or streaked in silver. Ankle-wrapped espadrilles can take you from carefree days to stylish evenings with an assortment of embellishments.

Stilettos never go out of style, and this season the pointed toe is definitely on point, with variants in pops of colour. From closed courts to showing some skin, the eyelet cut-out trend is set to compliment cut-out swimwear this season, and provides some eye-catching detail.

Slingbacks have made a comeback, and are one of the biggest trends for the season. No matter the height of the heel, the slingback sandal is a coveted fashion find. Block heels are back and all types of footwear are sporting this style, from sandals, to ankle-strapped stilettos to slides; and are popular in colour blocks as well as monochromatic finishes.

The modern mule has also made a re-appearance and is popular in an array of finishes, including suede, which is an ode to the 1970’s. From sandals to stilettos and everything in between, suede is also a favourite for fringing and ankle ties.
Revamped peep toes are popular, with pops of colour pedicures sneaking a peek in varied styles. When it comes to straps, get your gladiator game strong, in both futuristic flats and sexy stilettos.

While sleek styles make their appearance this season, the bold and beautiful chunkier designs are on trend too, and a number of styles are embellished with chains, giving the Gothic influence a stylish spin.

The buzzword in footwear this season is options, and the wedge is a popular choice to take you from day to night, giving you height paired with comfort. Back by popular demand, the wedge is a coveted choice for SS16.

When it comes to the Europa Art Men's collection for SS16 there is a sense of adventurous spirit in style. This season, casual classic is making an entrance with stylish sneakers, sandals and loafers as well as luxe courts in suede.

Casual lace-ups in contrasting pops of colour, as well as classic loafers embellished with studs and splashes of metallic are all the rage. For laidback luxe, the slide is the go-to accessory for poolside play in luxurious leather.

Sneakers get sophisticated in supple suede and leather, available in a refined palette of neutrals. The future of trainers sees the retro revival taking over, with men’s footwear embracing the new age. This season we celebrate iconic influences and a hint of rebel culture.

No matter your taste or style, Europa Art will help you master the #artofbeingstylish with #makeitmonochrome.
