Installing tiles can enhance the beauty of floors or walls wherever it is installed. Tiles not only give a polished attractive look but also give a complete makeover of the space. But for the longevity and durability of tiles, proper cleaning and maintenance is required.

Cleaning the grout holds a key part in making the tiles look clean and impressive. Tiles themselves should be cleaned with mild soaps at regular intervals to keep them fresh and clean. Acidic products should be avoided as it can damage the texture of the tiles. Much emphasis should be given to the cleaning of bathroom tiles where molds grow in the grout of white or light colored tiles. Process of Cleaning the Tile Grout:

• Firstly the tiles should be mopped with a dry broom or with a mop to remove the accumulated dirt on the tiles. This also helps to remove the accumulated dust of the grout and gives better access to the grout joints of tiles.
• The cleansing agent should be poured into the grout ensuring that all areas are well covered.
• The tile cleaning agent should be left for approximately 30 minutes. The more the cleansing agent stays, the stains gets loosened and easier to remove.
• Using a hard brush or a toothbrush to clean the grout is an easy and effective method to remove grout stains.
• After the stains are removed, floors or walls should be rinsed with clean water and then they should be dried. The above procedure must be repeated on a periodic basis to see effective results and clean tiles.
