Nathan Sawaya is a New York-based artist; but while some artists use paint and others use bronze, Sawaya chooses to build his Awe-inspiring art out of toy building blocks ... LEGO® to be precise! And he gave up his career as a Lawyer to do this ...........................................................................

Sawaya came to fame in 2004, when he won a nationwide search for a professional LEGO® Master Model Builder. He explains that he is able to see the world in little squares and that is how he is able to create recognisable faces from blocks.

His New York studio is home to more than 1.5 million coloured bricks which he meticulously crafts into beautiful and 'playful' works. He is taking LEGO®  to a place that it's never been before ... The Fine Arts.

There are no Limits to his work: Dinosaurs, People, Flowers, Paintings and Musical Instruments are to name but a few things he has created. I find Nathan Sawaya truly phenomenal as he has taken a commercial product and created Artworks worthy of Museums ... Just take a look below:

Nathan's lego art is unbelievable, thought these pictures I took were fun to add to your blog which I came across at La Rinascente.
