Designed by Michael Samoriz and known as the flower Barb, this lamp is unlike most others, it features a combination of sleek plates that extend backward from the apex. Many lamps nowadays have a tendency to open in the direction of the light, but this one has a focused LED at the center point that is perfect for any working conditions. The result of the flower Barb is a floral aesthetic with a rather surprising way of producing directional light. Maybe one day the design will extend in order to allow for the plates to be adjusted in the opposite direction so that the user can switch between the ambient glow and the focused light as needed.
