I absolutely love taking photos on my iPhone (in fact it's all I use) and I'm so excited about this year's iPhoneography competition. Entries for the 5th iPhoneographySA 2015 are now open at http://myistore.co.za/iphoneography/ and will close on Friday, 28 August 2015.

So, what is it all about?

If you take pictures with an iPhone, you’re an iPhoneographer, and iStore’s iPhoneography is a competition that not only puts the power of the iPhone into the main frame, but also you, the person behind the lens. iPhoneography encourages every iPhone user (professional or not) to get clicking, and submit their images into a nationwide competition. The competition culminates in two exhibition events, where winners are announced, prizes like iPads and MacBooks are awarded, and the mastery of the phone and photographer are celebrated.

You can use any photo editing app, provided that your original image was taken using an iPhone. Images can be submitted according to five categories: Portrait, Still Life, Abstract, Scenery, and My SA. If you are on Instagram, check out the iPhoneography Instagram account @iPhoneographySA.

Each entrant can submit photos to either the Johannesburg or Cape Town sections, even if they’re from other areas. Entrants can submit up to five of their best moments.

For more information on iPhoneographySA, visit http://myistore.co.za/iphoneography/ or follow iPhoneographySA on Instagram and on Twitter at @MyiStoreSA. You can also follow and join in the conversation with the hashtag #iPhoneography2015.

Here are some pics taken on my iPhone 5 (an iPhone 6 would be fabulous... Hint hint to anyone out there who would like to sponsor me one).
