H&M Announces their Flagship Store in SA

At the top of the talk of the town, for quite some time, has been the coming of H&M to SA.

 

The second biggest fashion store in the world, Hennes & Mauritz, revealed in anticipation  back when, that their first store in Joburg will open at the end of 2015 (sigh) at the Mall of Africa.  However, to the delight of our beloved Mother City, the wait is over as the announcement  comes “hot off the press”, that Cape Town H&M will open its doors in October 2015 at the V&A Waterfront (where else).

The store will be  4700 square meters, making it one of the largest in the world and the flagship store of South Africa, with 2 floors of fashion for everyone to dress their personal style.

“We are very happy to finally open our first store in South Africa and bring our future customers what H&M is known for the world over – fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way,” says Pär Darj, Country Manager for H&M South Africa. “We are also extremely proud of our newest H&M employees as we have found a wonderful team for our store,” he adds.

 

The store will open with the highly anticipated H&M Studio collection for women that fuses modern eclectic with a classic twist. Bold prints take centre stage in earthy, authentic tones of rust and paprika against a backdrop of cream and green. Silhouettes are playful with exaggerated curves and the collection sees the introduction of oversized shapes worn with neat and nipped pieces.

 

For men H&M is about personal style, with a collection full of masculine, wearable pieces that together create a modern wardrobe of adventure and individuality. There are a variety of looks, from street inspired black & white, to a laid back authentic surf capsule and tailored pieces in sharp navy, black and white, worn with understated sophistication.

 

So brace yourselves fellow fashion-lovers…another amazing international brand will be clutching onto your pay-check every month for a slice of the pie.  My advice, start saving now, for those coveted “must-have” pieces that’ll be splurged all over our glossy’s at the time of the launch.
