Emerald is emerging from a long hibernation. Yellow-greens like chartreuse have been trendy for the past decade, but emerald hasn't touched the zeitgeist since Ronald Reagan was president. "It's really a throwback to the 1980s," says Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone's color specialist. 

Going green has never been this fun!  Use scatter pillows, accent walls, fine-dining utensils and if you’re brave enough, cover your old couch in this luxurious colour which screams “New York, New York” to me, to build a statement home.
