CAPE TOWN – Get ready for the most stylish event on South Africa's social calendar: GQ's Best Dressed Men of the Year 2016, in association with Jameson Select Reserve.

Now in its 11th year, the awards ceremony celebrates the best in men's style. In October, GQ will host a guest list packed with 250 of South Africa's most stylish men and women, as we reveal the year's Top 10 Best Dressed Men – and crown the year's number one – in an exclusive event held in Johannesburg.

What turns a gentleman into Best Dressed material? Says GQ Editor-in-Chief Craig Tyson: 'A common thread that binds our winners, apart from having a good fashion sense, is their knowledge of the rules and an ability to bend them to suit themselves. It's this combination of knowledge, taste and style that sets them apart.'

And for the 11th consecutive year, GQ is thrilled to announce the return of Jameson Select Reserve as the principle partner. GQ's Best Dressed Men of the Year, in association with Jameson, celebrates South Africa's 50 most stylish gentlemen in the worlds of business, fashion, media, sports and the arts. Winners are selected by a panel of judges including GQ's editors and past winners.

The annual event coincides with the launch of the November 2016 issue of GQ, where interviews of the Top 10 and a list of the 50 nominees appear, and the rollout of style diaries and extended interviews with the Top 10 winners, and the culmination of the Best Dressed Reader competition, across GQ's digital platforms.
