Barbara Goatcher always had a passion for design and began her career at a well-known Advertising Agency in Johannesburg. After searching for a change in pace and some much needed inspiration, 2010 saw Barbara move from the Big city to a more quiet and peaceful Durban – which is when Flutter came about.

Although never being taught jewellery design, Barbara found that the materials and processes came easier for her due to her creative flare and previous design know how.

This self-proclaimed tomboy was amazed by her decision to get into jewellery design. “These days I dress according to which Flutter items I want to wear and not the other way around.”
