Prada and Chanel, two amazing international designer brands have just launched their Resort 2014 Ad Campaigns, both, being unique and reflective of the brand.  It takes an army of skilled artisans such as photographers, make-up artists, stylists, assistants and so on, to pull a successful ad campaign off the ground which ends up being displayed on billboards and in magazines throughout the world.

As you can imagine, competition is stiff and creative teams sit for hours behind the scenes, determining the desired outcome of the campaign.  Of course the aim is either reminding or introducing to their numerous fans their gorgeous items of the coming season. Take a look at Resort 2014 campaigns of Prada and Chanel to choose the one you think delivered the best outcome.

Prada tapped Anna Ewers, Amanda Murphy and Cameron Russell as models for the artistically, colourful photos whilst Steven Meisel photographed the shots, conveying the message of sheer luxury through the lens.

Chanel fashion house used their very own creative director, Karl Lagerfeld to shoot their Resort 2014 campaign and another trio of models: Ashleigh Good, Nadja Bender and Dalianah Arekion struck elegant poses in a series of black and white photos. The retro photoshoot for me displays the epitomy of Chanel.  Clean, classic and elegant.

Which ad campaign, you may ask I prefer?  As much as I love Chanel, I think Prada’s images are more “resort-like” and the colourful prints scream island holiday...you decide for yourself.
